Welcome to the Kingdom of the Crystal Giants. Opened to the public for the first time in 2013, the Grotte de la Salamandre is aimed at both tourist enthusiasts and those looking for a variety of sensations or who are looking for a unique adventure.
Share your emotions through the four visit possibilities:
- The Belvedere and its incredible panoramic view, wheelchair accessible (unique in Europe);
- The Guided Tour, a fascinating journey lasting around an hour in the heart of an enormous space adorned with splendid titanic concretions brought to light and sound;
- For adrenaline lovers, the Grand Recall: 50 m of descent to discover the immense room by its ceiling, with friends or family. Guaranteed and… shared emotion!
- Les Coulisses de la Salamandre: 2h30 of caving in the hidden rooms of the Grotto, a captivating playful, aesthetic and somewhat sporty course.
Events constantly punctuate the life of the site, such as the flight of the Aéroplume, the Trail des Avens, unusual visits or the many concerts offered during the season.
Outside, an eco-responsible site of great beauty: the reception structure in local wood, nestled on the cliff side houses a pretty boutique of original items as well as a refreshment bar offering good products to be tasted on the magnificent terrace which overlooks a wild and unspoiled scrubland. In the immediate vicinity, the hook-bambino will allow the little ones to live their own adventure in a suspended course surrounded by safety nets.
