Things to see and do

Best known for her role in the history of the famous Beast of Gevaudan, the city of Marvejols also has a cultural and natural heritage of the most interesting.

Built in the late thirteenth century, the Notre-Dame-de-la-CARCE no shortage of attractions. Listed historical monument, it owes its name to a highly respected legend Marvejols. In the Middle Ages, a prince of the House of Aragon was held prisoner before being released by the Virgin Mary. Destroyed during the religious wars, the college was completely rebuilt from 1654.

At the gates of Marvejols, the Gevaudan wolf park can admire a hundred wolves living in semi-liberty in a natural park.

Events and festivities

City Marvejols offers various events throughout the year in the city streets, and several buildings.
