Things to see and do

Listed as a Historic Monument, the chapel of Saint-Quentin du Rousset is one of the town's architectural gems. Built in the 12th century, it is a fine example of Romanesque architecture.

While strolling through the village, you can also discover the chapel of Noireux, the Rousset mill with its 6 m wheel and its 1.50 m stone millstone or the Pierre d'Orgeval. Located in the old village of Marizy, the latter has the particularity of bearing an inscription probably dating back to the Gallo-Roman era and beginning with the words "Glory and memory be forever preserved". To be discovered in the heart of the Montchappa wood, it takes the form of a large slab of irregular shape.

Le Rousset-Marizy is also very popular for its natural heritage, like the Rousset lake. Very beautiful body of water of 55 hectares, it is appreciated by the inhabitants of the sector and by the tourists who can practice fishing or hiking there. The site also has a campsite, games for children and a restaurant by the water.

Several hiking trails take place in and around the town, like the three marked trails of Marizy of 11, 14 and 15 km. It is possible to obtain the Guide des Balades Vertes at the town hall in order to discover the most interesting circuits.
