On the road between Poitiers and Tours is the village of Jaunay-Marigny. The commune of Vienne gathers in fact five villages of medium and small importance. Scattered in the surrounding plains, you will visit the hamlets of Chincé, Louneuil and Parigny among others while you will still be in Jaunay-Marigny. The Clan Valley has been occupied since Neolithic times. Then the Romans lingered there and later the Merovingians took up residence there as evidenced by the sarcophagi found on the spot. The village has an agricultural vocation since always. Today, companies are beginning to establish themselves, especially since the construction of Futuroscope on the town. Like many villages, a rich historical heritage is still there, spared by the wars. But Jaunay-Marigny has more than one asset in his sleeve and also has to his credit classified natural sites where the fauna and flora are protected. This classification corresponds to 77% of the communal territory which suggests vast expanses of wild nature to discover without moderation.
