Margaux-Cantenac

The main tourist attraction of the city of Margaux surely is his castle, listed historical monument for its facade, its roof and its common. This vineyard, large almost 300 hectares, produced one of Bordeaux's most prestigious, the first grand cru. If the original building dates back to the thirteenth century, the present castle was built in the early nineteenth century in the Palladian style, with neoclassical architecture. The facade has a particular portico of four Ionic columns.

The church of Saint-Michel Margaux also worth lingering a moment to admire the architecture.

During November, Margaux offers gourmet and rich entertainment event, Margaux Saveurs.

• The commune of Margaux-Cantenac, in collaboration with the Comité des fêtes, is organizing a festive and convivial event to celebrate July 14th. - Throughout the day, a range of activities will be on offer : - > in the morning : a walk organized by the Comité des fêtes, with a snack offered at the end of the route - > at the end of the evening : the municipality offers an aperitif in the village hall, followed by a country-style meal (reservation required) organized by the Comité des fêtes, with a festive ball featuring live music. - The evening ends with a fireworks display offered by the Mairie.
