The La Seigneurie manor is located in the commune of Maigné, in the Sarthe department, 23 km southwest of Le Mans.
Located in the village itself, it was built at the end of the 14th century for the lords of Crenon.
Rearrangements were carried out in the 16th century, during the Renaissance period.
The domain was for a time part of the lordship and the castle of Resteau, to the south of the current town, which were independent of the castellany of Maigné.
Listed in the Inventory, the manor is still private. It takes the form of a three-level dwelling (with an attic floor) with a taller polygonal tower on the façade, dominating the sloping roof of the residence.
A pavilion was attached to the rear. The manor was recently restored according to the rules of the art, notably highlighting its mullioned bays and its sculpted decorations, not to mention the framework and the slate roofing.
Well maintained, the complex is in the center of a walled park with French-style gardens.
The property is not open to the public but can mark a discovery of this charming village of character which has other charming heritage sites.
