A winery built between the 18th and 19th centuries on the banks of the Garonne, Château Plaisance de Macau, in Gironde, is the work of architect François Lhote. Listed and classified as a Historic Monument, it reveals a dwelling established on a high base used as a cellar.
Visitors will be able to admire a neo-classical facade with a double flight of steps framed by two low wings of the outbuildings. Taken over in the early 1990s, the property has since produced rich and fruity wines.
