A Renaissance-style building, the Château de Gallerande takes place in the town of Luché-Pringé, in Sarthe. Private residence not accessible to visitors, it was originally a medieval fortress before taking on the appearance we know today.
Attacked many times by the English during the Hundred Years War, it experienced many destructions before being rebuilt in the 15th century. Installed in the middle of an immense wooded park which goes down towards the Loir, the castle of Gallerande consists of a main building and a wing in return towards the back, the whole surrounded by four cylindrical towers and two quadrangular towers.
