Lucenay-lès-Aix, pretty rural village of nearly 1000 inhabitants, is located at the southern tip of the Nièvre and adjoins 5 villages of the Allier.

Lucenay-lès-Aix had three churches: Saint-Gervais and Saint-Genest which disappeared during the Revolution, Saint-Romain which you can visit in the village.
