Loubens-Lauragais

• Castle Loubens: originally, the castle was built by the family Loubens in the eleventh century. In the sixteenth century, the golden age of pastel, the castle was expanded and renovated in Renaissance taste. You can visit by appointment only, the classified park of the castle and the ancient underground offices, apartments and granaries.
• Church of Our Lady: built with enrichment due to the pastel in the sixteenth century, it is located in the heart of the village near the castle moat. The church has an imposing tower at the base of the bell tower. It used to house the tombs of the Lords of Loubens.
• Old windmill sixteenth century, built on a mound deck with large stone buttresses, it has a pointed roof, typical of the Lauragais windmills. He lost his wings since 1940. Formerly, there was a second mill next, it was gone.
• statue of the Black Madonna: according to legend, the Virgin appeared to save a child attacked by a wolf. Produced by Regis Vialaret in the 1950s, the ceramic statue of the Black Virgin is seated on a wolf and carrying the child Jesus on her lap. This legend gives Loubens emblem of the black wolf.
