Loubens-Lauragais is situated in the Haute-Garonne department in the region of Occitanie. Its inhabitants are called Loubensois.
It is a town in the urban area of Toulouse located in the Lauragais, 31 km east of Toulouse. It borders the Tarn department.
Built on a mound of caste, Loubens-Lauragais is a charming village marked by the period of blue gold, in other words the trade of pastel, this deep blue dye that made the wealth of Lauragais in the sixteenth century.
Founded by the ancient family of Loubens, the castle is the result of works of expansion and remodeling of the seigniorial residence undertaken in the sixteenth century. There is indeed no remnant of the first castle.
