Listed as a Historic Monument for its facades and roofs, its main staircase with wrought iron railing, its waiting room and its three lounges on the first floor, the town hall of Loos was erected at the end of the 19th century.
Designed by Louis-Marie Cordonnier, son of the architect Louis Cordonnier, the town hall of Loos is a fine example of Flemish architecture and decor with its red bricks. It has a belfry 38 m high and typical of the neo-Flemish style developed in Flanders and ancient Holland. Listed as a Historic Monument, this belfry projecting from the main facade with frames, watchtowers and pinnacles, now benefits from UNESCO World Heritage listing.
