The Lisieux Normandy Theater is an Italian-style theatre, built in 1895 and renovated in the 1980s, under the direct management of the Lisieux Normandy Agglomeration Community. Its missions: programming and management of the historical Italian-style theater of Lisieux and programming on the territory (55 municipalities, 80,000 inhabitants).
A multidisciplinary program with a strong focus: opera. "Give pride of place to singing" is a dominant feature of this program. We find of course in "Les Petites Scènes", this lyrical axis. These shows are aimed at the whole family from 2 years old and are scheduled at the heart of each school holiday period.
The artistic presence on the territory is a strong stake of the cultural policy of the agglomeration and these residences (different modalities) take place at the Théâtre de Lisieux or on the territory, in places made available by the partner municipalities.
Different modes of artistic and cultural actions, partnerships with schools (all levels), workshops, meetings… at Lisieux and throughout the territory of the CALN reinforce this programming.
