Levroux, the medieval city of leather and parchment...

Between Champagne Berrichonne and Boischaut-Nord, Levroux offers a colorful and changing landscape with the seasons. The plains, meadows and woods coexist in a system of cereal cultivation and goat farming for the manufacture of the famous goat pyramid.

The historic center joins the commercial square with a system of narrow and winding streets where you can stroll and admire the medieval architecture. Looking up you will observe the peculiarity of "gerbières" (openings through which were gathered the hay).

To the east of the city, you will discover the typical architecture of leather and parchment workshops, which have suffered the economic crisis, but which are now alive thanks to artists and craftsmen.. You can visit the museum of leather and parchment which traces the history and the different stages of their manufacture.

You can stroll through the circuit of vegetable gardens which passes by the swimsuits and will lead you to the body of water before returning to the historic heart of the city to discover the monuments such as the collegiate Saint-Sylvain, the door of Champagne or the wooden house.
