Municipality of Hérault, in the Occitanie region, Lespignan takes place ten kilometers from Béziers and the sea. Bordering the department of Aude, it is located not far from Vendres, Valras-Plage and Fleury, in a wine-growing area.
Populated for more than 4000 years, as evidenced by archaeological excavations carried out on site, the territory of Lespignan developed during the Gallo-Roman era, seeing the creation of many villae. First known for its quarries, which have been exploited for a long time, this town in the southwest of France has distinguished itself in the production of wine since the 19th century. The time then saw the inhabitants prosper with in particular the construction of mansions still visible today.
