Les Pieux

The tour of the Piles starts with its famous sandy beach, the beach of Sciotot. With two bathing areas, the beach is also the place of numerous activities on the sea as on the fine sand. As the wind is often part of the game, you can try the sand-yachting or the kite-wagon among others. You will also be able to practice sliding sports and especially surfing on the surfing waves of the place. Throughout the summer, many activities are proposed on the beaches, both monitored. Beach volleyball or rugby tournaments, there is something for every taste and every age. The animation continues at night with concerts and shows to devour eyes comfortably installed on the sand. The beach of Sciotot is labeled Blue Flag.

If you want to discover the coastline or to stroll into the Normandy bocage, all you have to do is put on your walking shoes or straddle your mountain bike to discover a unique and enchanted landscape. You will take your eyes full along the path of customs officers who stretches for 80 kilometers.

Finally, the town has a swimming pool, tennis courts and a skate park. The church dates back to the 13th century and is worth a visit.

Do not miss the Saint-Clair festival around July 18th. For 3 days, the festivities are in full swing. On the program of the rejoicings, the market opens its doors followed and completed by a large sale. The traditional Mass is celebrated. Concerts punctuate the day and the evening. A fun fair takes place for the occasion to delight young and old.

The Trail de T'cheu organized us in May passes by the trail of the customs officers following Les Pieux. You can participate in this sporting event open to all, runners amateurs or confirmed on two courses nature. Nordic walking or sport hiking, you choose which you want to register!

• Fans of new sensations, open to all kinds of music - classical, rock, electro, modern, traditional and avant-garde jazz - and both with a great admiration for this composer, Roberto NEGRO and Émile PARISIEN, who need no introduction, set themselves a strange challenge : to adapt Györgi LIGETI ? S string quartet "Métamorphoses Nocturnes" to piano and saxophone ! The "Métanuits" project is a fascinating undertaking : It features virtuoso playing of the highest order, an exploration of all the tonal possibilities of the instruments by the two improvisers. The two friends offer us generous music of great vitality, at times poetic, at times powerful and spirited, a truly jubilant performance that audiences in North Cotentin will have the chance to enjoy, following their acclaimed performances at the Lille Opera and the Paris Philharmonic.
