Les Halles

• The Church:

"She is dedicated to St. Suzanne and date from 1768, the date is engraved on the lintel of the door of the chapel. In 1862, the ship is lying alongside the South tower is moved to the front entrance of the church. The roof was rebuilt in 1986 after a collapse.

• The monument to the dead:

• It was built in 1925. It's the only canton to have been made in granite country. It was carved by Antoine Garel, stonecutter in Saint-Laurent-de-Chamousset. The installation was completed in 1925 by Robert Ravel, mason in the village. In the basement of the building, they filed an empty bottle containing a piece of paper on which they wrote: "We hope that those who find these words will not pay the bread three francs a kilo."

• Le Relais de la Poste:

• One of the oldest houses in the town is a former stagecoach became a local association and place of life for children. The date 1766 is engraved on the lintel of the porch.

• The Chateau des Halles:

• In 1391, the fortified house of the Forest belonged to Sir Arod. In the late 15th century, following an alliance, Jehan de Rostaing was the Lord. His son Philip had a daughter, Antoinette Rostaing, who married September 21, 1542 John Chapin, lord of Montellier, one hundred gentlemen of the royal household. On December 23, 1680, John, Earl of Fenoyl-Turey acquired Balthazar and Hector de Charpin, the Lordship of the Forest of Les Halles. Count Jean de Fenoyl in 1681 obtained letters from his majesty, under whose name the land of Les Halles was changed to Fenoyl. John Fenoyl had an illustrious son, Sir Guy of Fenoyl, count and lord of the said place, and a daughter of Margaret Orianne Fenoyl, wife of Sir Lawrence Gayardon of Gresolles. Guy de Fenoyl died childless, leaving his sister and nephew to testamentary heirs, the land of Fenoyl passed to the family and Gayardon marquisate was built in about 1727. The son of Orianne, Laurent-Charles de Gayardon, was the first Marquis of Fenoyl. In 1768, his son, Lawrence Francis of Gayardon, Earl of Fenoyl, founded the parish of the Halles Fenoyl, together with his wife Suzanne Andree Challion de Joinville, she died before seeing the parish of Les Halles in Fenoyl built. After 1803, the Fenoyl happening in different hands, this fort was flanked by two towers, its walls were embattled and surrounded by moats, the main entrance was a drawbridge. In 1863, Lucien Mangini takes the field Fenoyl Family Dugas; he demolished in 1874-75 for replacement of the current castle around 1882. The property was then 88 acres and outbuildings extended until Souzy. Following a donation by the widow of Mr. Mangini in 1904, the property belongs to the Hospices Civils de Lyon, which since 1920 are in a convalescent facility for girls. The facility closed in June 2004.
• The cooler located in the forest of the castle is the largest Rhone (see inventory conducted by the General Council). It seems that there are still underground to link to this castle that the Menue on the town of Haute-Rivoire.
• Houses to the very special architecture, called "Houses Mangini" were scattered around the castle: the cottage of greenhouses, the hunting lodge, House Director, a firm with a steeple and Pavilion Beauvisage . Three houses were destroyed: the flag of Fisheries and two other small houses.
• A Les Halles two farms, school girls, the current mayor and former small-town hall (a flip-flop has been built there) also belonged to Mangini.
