Lentilly, charming village of the hillsides of Lyon, consists of hamlets with many localities with evocative names: Tanneries, Perpetual, Drops, Grasse...
Because of the extent of the municipality, Lentilly offers walkers a diversity of landscapes alternating between valleys, hills, woods and meadows.
Depending on their walk, hikers will admire in the town center a turret vestige of the castle of Lentilly built in 1210 by Renaud de Forez whose coat of arms became that of Lentilly, then Cruzols, his castle with its classified entry towers dating of the fourteenth century. Their footsteps will then guide them to Mosouvre, located west of the town, overlooked by the chapel of Fouillet, where they will enjoy a panorama of the village and its surroundings. After walking the woods to the castle of Malatray, they will descend on La Rivoire, then Le Poirier, once crossed by diligences that joined Lyon to the Loire past the castle of Poirier.
