Castle of the thirteenth century located in the municipality of Lembach, Bas-Rhin, the castle Froensbourg was completely rebuilt in the fourteenth, before being finally abandoned in the seventeenth.
Listed as an historic monument, the site still reveals traces of this semi-troglodyte castle including rooms carved into the sandstone, a Gothic door or a rocky staircase.
Freely accessible via the trail of the Vosges Club, it also presents a platform offering stunning views of the surroundings.
