Important town of Eure, in the Normandy region, Le Vaudreuil takes place about thirty kilometers from Evreux, in one of the loops of the Seine. It is located on the banks of the Eure, not far from Porte-de-Seine, Val-de-Reuil and Saint-Etienne-du-Vauvray.
Ancient, the commune of Vaudreuil stood out from the 11th century, in particular thanks to its archers who accompanied William of Normandy in his conquest of England in 1066. Having become royal land, in the 17th century it saw the building of a castle with gardens of Le Nôtre destroyed in the 19th century.
