Located in the town of Thor, in the Vaucluse (Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur), the cave of Thouzon takes place at the foot of the hill of the same name. Itself overlooked by the castle of Thouzon, it is the only natural cave for tourism in the department.
230 meters long, this cavity, nicknamed the fairy cave, reveals to its visitors stalactites, stalagmites, draperies, gours or even cave pearls. Discovered in 1902 by workers from the stone quarry located nearby, it is now accessible to the public for a visit of three quarters of an hour. Labeled Caves of France, the cave of Thouzon also presents a shop of minerals and lithotherapy for the amateurs.
