Town of about 5500 inhabitants, in Yvelines, in the Ile-de-France, Le Port-Marly takes place about ten kilometers from Versailles and its magnificent castle. It is located twenty kilometers from Paris, not far from Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Marly-le-Roi and Vaucresson.
Originally warehouse Gallo-Roman, the town of Port-Marly has long developed around the port activities which gave it its name. It has grown significantly since the Middle Ages and became independent municipality since the late eighteenth century.
