Town in Brittany in the Morbihan department, Le Palais is considered the "capital" of Belle-Ile-en-Mer. This fishing port, commercial and pleasure is indeed one of the four island towns and is located on the northeast coast. Le Palais also takes place about fifteen kilometers from Quiberon and ten kilometers of Locmaria.
The City Palace was born in the late sixteenth century following the construction of a strong request by Charles IX. Very quickly it turned, like the rest of Belle Île, towards tourism. Le Palais is also classified tourist resort since 1927.
Very popular with visitors, the town Palace has an interesting natural heritage, but also architecture, including the presence of a citadel designed by Vauban.
