Until the arrival of plastics and cardboard, Le Muy experienced a significant development of forest-related industries. The sawmills, the cash-boxes, the cork-shops, found there the hydraulic energy necessary for their operation (numerous streams) and the richness of a forest of more than 4,800 hectares.
For four centuries, the city of Muy is watered by canals that distribute the waters of the Nartuby. They irrigated crops and operated sawmill machines, oil mills, grain mills and tanneries.
A colorful market, the largest in eastern Var, and famous vineyards will invite you to taste the local products.
Islands of greenery along the rivers, the Mediterranean forest and its porphyry cliffs encourage the practice of activities such as canoeing, horseback riding, climbing or hiking. Photographers and botanists will appreciate the silence of its rich maquis of its fauna and flora.
From villages perched in fishing villages, from the Verdon to Saint-Tropez, the geographical location of the Muy will allow you to imagine your days according to your desires...
