Fortification of the city of Le Havre, in Seine-Maritime, Fort Tourneville was built in the mid-nineteenth century. Decommissioned in 1880, he has allowed the city to resist attacks Prussian War of 1870.
Military Wasteland, Fort Tourneville was bought by Le Havre in the late 1980s to become a true cultural wasteland open to the public.
