Bairon et ses environs

Listed as an historic monument, the Saint-Jacques church in Le Chesne was restored after the Second World War. It dates from the fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. You will also be able to admire a cross of 14th century stone crossroads classified as a Historical Monument, as well as the 19th century Barbonian wash house.

From the former priory Saint Guillaume Louvergny, there is still a cross installed in the place where was the choir of the abbey church. Not far, we can also see the remains, outbuildings and an old dovecote, Castle Touly built in the sixteenth century.

In Alleux, you will see the church, as well as a memorial of June 1940.

The leisure base of Bairon has many sports and entertainment facilities. For hiking, you can also take the direction of Chesne wood.

In June, Rock'n'Tractors Trencher Festival, with its exhibitions, tractor races and fireworks, is held near Lake Bairon.
