At the foot of the Pic Orhi, Larrau is a mountain village attached to his homeland. Neighborhoods scattered throughout the mountains are poetic names: "Ekhi Begia" (the eye of the sun), "Itzal Herria" (the village shaded). The village is grouped around the pediment and the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste included in the inventory of historical monuments, containing a Romanesque apse and a Madonna in polychrome wood. The passage of the pilgrimage of Saint Jacques de Compostela, the priory church office and made a hospital for travelers.
