Larmor-Plage is a town of Morbihan, Brittany. Lorient Agglomeration member of the community, it was created in 1924 and is located on the west bank of the harbor of Lorient, facing the island of Groix and the Atlantic Ocean.
Classified seaside resort, the town is famous for its sandy beach, a marina, and for its idyllic setting that particular niche in the ocean park Kerguélen. The heritage is not lost Larmor-Plage, whether architectural or natural.

Classified as an historic monument, the Church of Our Lady of Larmor is the ancient pilgrimage chapel of Our Lady of the Armor. Located on the promontory near the shore, it has elements dating from the fourteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. One can in particular discover the statues of the twelve apostles of the early sixteenth century, a wooden statue of Christ in mercy, a polychrome wooden statue of the sixteenth century, or an altar, the altar of the Jews, composed of thirty -eight triangle figurines from the early sixteenth century. Not far from the fountain Notre Dame, the eighteenth century, not lack of interest. Topped with a heart and a star, it houses a statue of the Virgin.
Visitors can enjoy the fort of Kernevel, a redoubt of the eighteenth century which hosts conferences on the maritime domain, all Kernevel blockhouse, one of which can be visited during the Heritage Days.
Villas at Kernevel are one of the tourist jewels of Larmor-Plage. Built in the late nineteenth century, it is a set of three resort buildings. The villa Kerlilon, known as the Admiralty, the largest, which is sometimes open for Heritage Days, or the villa Ker Margaret, are real wonders. The latter now houses the harbor marina.
The marina with its cafés, restaurants, or its many boats do not lack charm.
In the early twentieth century, the tip of jokers was a place of rendezvous for fishermen and other fish merchants. A square ceramic remembers to this old sardine activity.
Dune area bordering a beach 1.5 kilometers long, ocean park Kerguélen houses 82 hectares of marine fauna and flora protected by the Coastal Conservatory.
