Delicious small village of Côte-d'Or, in Burgundy, Franche-Comté Lantenay takes place about twenty kilometers from Dijon. It is located not far from Plombières-lès-Dijon, Urcy or Prenois.

Human occupation of Lantenay dates back to the Gallo-Roman. Earth parents of the famous Dukes of Burgundy, the town is also illustrated as a residence of the daughter of St. Louis. Its history is closely linked to that of its castle that is passed from hand to hand over the centuries.

Today more peaceful, the town continues however to attract visitors with its charm and authenticity of its landscapes. Close to some of the most beautiful cities in the area, Lantenay also impresses with its architectural and historical heritage to discover during a stay in the area.

Things to see and do

Passing on Lantenay, do not fail to be seduced by the castle of the seventeenth century partly registered and classified as an historic monument. Built in 1665, this private property has replaced an older building that served as a residence for the Dukes. The territory has been erected in marquisate in the eighteenth century, it was completely restored by the result.

Enjoy the beautiful chapel of St. Louis, also listed building, before making a transition to wash or cover the fountain of Lepers.

Several paths lead to appreciate the local fauna and flora, and it is possible to admire the valley to the Mammoths.
