- The etymology of Langlade comes from the Latin "Anglata" meaning "land in the form of angle." Very frequently used in Pays d'Oc to name the villages, the "Anglata" means primarily a cultivable agricultural land.
- Historical Fact: April 15, 1704, Jean Cavalier, chief Camisard and his troop of 800 infantry and 200 cavalry to join Langlade leave Caveirac. At the end of the afternoon, surrounded on all sides, Jean Cavalier wins the heights of Langlade. An ambush Hainaut Battalion (Dragon King) waits near the mill Langlade. The mill then saw the bloodiest moments of its history.
