Isolated from the village, at the end of an alley of plane trees, you will see two buildings from very different eras and styles but both remarkable.
The castle of Lamenay (private) which dates from 1852 is inspired by the Louis XIII style by the use of brick and stone.
The pretty (private) rural church built in the 11th century was first dedicated to Saint-Aignan in medieval times, then to Saint-Roch after the plague of 1746.
The stained glass windows of the 19th century represent the arms of the owner family, who donated them.
In 2020, the church was selected for the Loto du Patrimoine. Restoration work on the roof and the bell tower was carried out for six months.
Work inside the church will follow in the first half of 2021.
Despite the fact that it is private, the church is also a parish church, made available to the diocese.
The exterior of the church is freely accessible and you can admire in particular the bell tower in chestnut shingles.
