Located 25 km east of Rodez, between the Aveyron valley and Causse of Sévérac-le-Château, Canton Laissac offers a diversity of landscapes and picturesque villages with many facets.
Hills, "Puech" woodlands and large most arid areas, are conducive to the practice of outdoor activities. The Laissagais also seduces visitors with its castles, dolmens and wash houses, monuments essential circuits "village core" of the township.
The pride of Laissac is certainly its cattle market, ranked first in the southern markets of France, a true tradition since the fifteenth century. Free guided tours are held every Tuesday morning in July / August at 8.30 am and by appointment all year.
