Lagnes is a common Provence located on the southwestern tip of the mountains of Vaucluse. To the west of the country, the plain of the Sorgue ( edge ). To the east and north hills ( mountains of Vaucluse) scrubland, oaks and pines. And near the famous Luberon. Its population is about 1700 inhabitants.
The village is since 2008 part of 77 member municipalities in the Regional Natural Park of Luberon.
Lagnes stands placed in floor at the foot of the rock SCEP. The village is dominated by a 13th century castle ( rebuilt in the 16th and seventeenth ) which gives a very medieval atmosphere to the town. Do not hesitate to climb to the top of the village, you will have a really great view of the entire region of Luberon, the Alpilles and even with a bit of luck, the weather is clear, you can see the Cevennes...
In the village, you will stroll with pleasure in its narrow streets lined with old houses with flowers and giving a lot of charm to the village. You will pass the mansions of the 16th and 17th centuries as well as in some walkways. The town is located in a cultural and artistic hub.
