The village of Ladoye-sur-Seille has the distinction of having 9 mills and factories powered by water from the Seille and its tributaries (flour mills, oil mills, hammer, forge, sawmill, hemp crowd, threshing, saw tuff turners, domestic electricity production ...). Writings attest to the presence of these mills in the 16th century.
In 1533, the abbess of Chateau-Chalon, who owned Valley Seille leases it to the mills Ladoye Huguenin Roz (departmental archives).
Of the nine mills, 6 are fed via the millers, a derivation of the Seille.
Today, many vestiges testify to its glorious past, several buildings, water wheels and bucket, and the channel millers through the village.
