Housed since 1959 in a former inn, which left one day the future King of Naples to seek his fortune and marry later, Caroline Bonaparte, Napoleon's sister, the museum houses portraits of Murat Joachim Murat, his wife, his children and his mother, autographs, personal objects, prints, engravings, and a family tree of the Murat family. The museum also exhibits a portrait of Antoinette Murat, niece of Joachim, wife of the Prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen.
