Town in the Loire region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, La Talaudière takes place at the gates of Saint-Etienne, in the Onzon Valley. It is located near Saint-Christo-en-Jarez, Saint-Chamond and Saint-Jean-Bonnefonds.
Installed in an area with ancient human occupation, La Talaudière town was officially founded in the early nineteenth century by royal order to facilitate the operation of coal mines Chazotte. These were closed in the late 1960s, when the city of transforming the economic landscape.
Today rewarded with three flowers in the Competition of Cities and Villages in bloom, La Talaudière has developed a charming face that continues to attract visitors passing through the region.
