The Jumellière: It was the name of a family who died in 1529 with René La Jumellière. The town was almost burned to the Revolution and was entirely rebuilt in the center of a territory rich in agriculture. The name of the Jumellière comes from two small valleys "twin" that surround it: the valley Oyon, with its stony hillsides, covered with gorse, and Game valley, wild and scenic. In the Middle Ages was a feudal castle. He belonged to the family of the Jumellière, who was one of the most powerful of Anjou.
