- La Palme is located in the south of France, Languedoc-Roussillon, in the department of Aude, 3 km from the Mediterranean, 26 km from Narbonne, 34 km from Perpignan and 80 km from the Spanish border. La Palme is a typical village of Narbonne, close to the D6009 linking Narbonne to Perpignan, ponds La Palme and Mediterranean.

- History:
- The village of La Palme was once a priory and one of the Narbonne diocese of places which sent deputies to the States Province.
- It was given to the Abbey of La Grasse in the year 805 June 28 Attigny by Charlemagne in the Ardennes who was then his residence.
- In 1206 Amiel Auriac brother Olivier de Termes was Lord of St. Pancras given in fief by the Viscounts of Narbonne and the castle. There is still a place in the tenth century chapel, St. Pancras.
- In 1302 after having sold the lordship of St Pancras to his son Bernard, Ameli of Auriac becomes Co-Lord La Palme after paréage signed with the Abbot of La Grasse.
- In 1503, the Duke of Alba took Leucate October 28th and villages La Palme, Sigean Fitou Treilles, Roquefort, Saint Jean de Barrou, Villesèque and other towns and villages to Narbonne where army commanded by Marshal of Rieux who was encamped stopped the Spaniards set fire to most places, made frightful havoc and took a large booty.
