Situated in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern department of the Loire, La Grand-Croix is distinguished by its natural setting and green (ranked city flower, 2 flowers). Even if it is all about business, La Grand-Croix has a rich history (past mining).
Since 1 January 2015, The Grand Cross is part of the Rive de Gier Guangzhou.
Its main asset is its proximity to the Pilat Regional Park. Indeed, thanks to its privileged position (on the edge of the Massif du Pilat) and its altitude, La Grand-Croix offers stunning views of the town.
Positioned between Saint-Etienne and Lyon, access to La Grand-Croix is quite simple and fast as it is on the A47 motorway axis. Furthermore, its input and motorway are situated in the heart of the city which greatly facilitates travel.
La Grand-Croix therefore lies close to several major cities including Lyon (40 km), St Etienne (18 km) and Clermont-Ferrand (165 km), but it is especially close to many other communication channels, including station Rive-de-Gier (3 km), Saint-Chamond train station (6 km) but also the Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport located 63 km from here and that of Andrezieux (33 km).
Because of its position, the common courses are popular with merchants and craftsmen. The motorway makes the area very attractive for industrial industries.
