Small town of 17 ha, La Ferrière-sur-Risle is between Bernay and Evreux and the way the Normandy coast. Norman typical village in the Middle Ages called La Ferrière-sur-Risle Ferraria. It takes its name from nearby iron ore deposits. In the 13th century the village was very successful and many shops had settled where the names of certain streets as "the street of huchiers".
