Located in the town of La Couronne, in Charente, the Château de l'Oisellerie is a magnificent Renaissance building built between the 16th and 17th centuries. Classified as a Historic Monument, it still reveals its original architecture with the first castle which now constitutes one of the current wings. A square turret with a spiral staircase or two turrets with pepper roofs complete this magnificent building. It is also possible to discover a sundial from the 17th century today classified as an historic monument as an object.
Former property of the Abbey of the Crown, the Château de l'Oisellerie now houses an agricultural high school as well as the Departmental Center for Educational Documentation.
