Small town in the Durance valley, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, La Brillanne is located at an altitude of 349 m, near Lurs, Niozelles and Oraison, on the banks of the Beveron.
Long known for its river transport activity on the Durance, the town changed its face in the second half of the 19th century with the destruction of its port which was one of the most important with that of Sisteron and Manosque. La Brillanne has managed to maintain its economic attractiveness with the arrival of the railway, but also thanks to its proximity to major communication routes.
This city in the south of France seduces with its pleasant living environment, typically Provençal with its olive groves, as well as its interesting architectural heritage.
