Populated by nearly 900 residents, the village of Juliénas is located in the extreme north of the Rhône department, near the Saône-et-Loire and its vineyards of the Mâconnais. A fifteen kilometers from Macon and twenty kilometers of Villefranche-sur-Saône, Juliénas is a warm and welcoming village where the wine culture is an ancestral tradition. Juliénas experiencing a tourism mainly turned to wine and culture, even though the village has beautiful old buildings. Joined

Historical Monument, home of the tithe was built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. This is a beautiful house facade with Italian, private today. It dates from the time when each winemaker paid his taxes in kind with grape bins.

Many wineries are of great interest in the town, like the castle of Juliénas the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries, the castle of Janroux the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, or the Wood Castle of La Salle Eighteenth century.

Many crosses are spread throughout the village, giving a special charm to the site, including the cross of Janroux, the cross of the Hotel des Vignes, the cross instead of the top, the cross of the Rice and the cross of Vaux.
