Located in the department of Ain, the castle of Jasseron is a former castle of the tenth century rebuilt in the thirteenth century and again destroyed in the late sixteenth century. Today in ruins, it is registered with the Historical Monuments.
The site still unveils a horseshoe keep and lodgings around the courtyard. It also has square and hexagonal towers of the fourteenth century. This is a very good example of a bipartite mound.
Around the ruins of the castle of Jasseron, it is also possible to admire the remains of a medieval priory, a barn and a chapel.
