- Located in the southwest of the capital, near Paris, on the edge of the Seine, the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux has a rich history of over 2000 years.
- A necropolis of the 5th century ( near the present church of St. Benedict ) is the oldest archaeological evidence of importance, while the etymological hypotheses developed around the name " Issy " all go back to the Gallo -Roman or Celtic.
