The lake invites families, sportsmen, fishermen, walkers... to discover a paradise of sports and water sports. For a weekend like for a long vacation, have a good time! The sailing center of Hourtin Médoc, located in Piqueyrot, hosts European regatta championships on the lake.

Miles of stretch of sand all year round... the beach passionately! It is behind the blond sand dune that generous nature offers its very first treasures. As far as the eye can see, the ocean blends with the sky, the sandy beach with the dune, the foam and the wind.

In any season, the forest unveils its charms... on foot, by bike, on horseback or on the tracks and trails you can recharge your batteries with long walks!

The "Bambino makes his Show" - a fun and festive event for families - takes place every year in mid-June on the children's island in Hourtin Port!

Market every Thursday morning, and from July 1 to August 31, three mornings a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays as well as artisanal night markets every Monday at Hourtin Plage and every Friday at Hourtin Port. Gastronomic markets of producers in June, July and August.

The International Academy of Music Hourtin Médoc welcomes in April, in a natural setting, on the edge of the largest freshwater lake in France, high-level students, who come to perfect the practice of their instrument, supervised by teachers from prestigious French and foreign higher conservatories.

• The Musical University of Hourtin Médoc organizes this year its 27th edition of the International Music Academy. - For one week, Hourtin becomes a musical bath, where master classes and concerts allow young students - musicians to rub shoulders with recognized artists and to benefit from their teaching.
