Small town of Oise, along the road from Beauvais to Creil, Hermes takes place in the Beauvaisis, backed by the forest of Hez-Froidmont. It is located about twenty kilometers from Beauvais, not far from Noailles, Bresles and Hondainville.
Inhabited since the Neolithic, the territory of Hermes was formerly established in the bellovan country and occupied by the Romans following the conquest of Gaul by Julius Caesar. The city develops gradually in the Middle Ages under the influence of the Cistercian monks of the abbey of Froidmont, gradually taking the face that we know today.
Tourist town because of its proximity to some of the most beautiful sites in the region, Hermes itself has a beautiful heritage to discover.
