Small village of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Haroué takes place in East Grand region, near the city of Nancy.

Populated since Gallo-Roman times, as evidenced by the remains found during excavations, the site of Haroué was once a stronghold under the bailiwick of Nancy. Things to see and do

Castle Haroué is the most popular attraction in the village. Built in the first half of the eighteenth century to the Viceroy of Tuscany, it integrates impressively towers and moat of the old original medieval castle. Classified as an historic monument, it has some interesting features, such as 365 windows for the days of the year, 52 chimneys for the weeks, 12 rounds for months and 4 bridges to signify the seasons. One can also admire a beautiful French garden protected as a listed site.

Inside the village Haroué, we find the Church of the Most Holy Trinity of the sixteenth century and enlarged in the eighteenth century, a chapel that once served as an orphanage, or the chapel of Beauvau.

The food market is held every last Sunday of the month, in the morning.

In April, Haroué offers a farmers market with entertainment, exhibitors, a show or a country meal.
