Hallignicourt is a small extended village of Haute-Marne, populated by nearly 300 inhabitants. You will find a church, old houses, a very large square in the middle of the war memorial. You will also discover its narrow alleys between each house, these are passages that serve to go to the garden. You will be astonished by these great gates, called cart or street door, which were indispensable for bringing in the enormous horse drawn carts full of hay, wheat, oats or rye.
