Grand-Champ is a commune of the Morbihan, in Brittany region, 15 km north-west of Vannes.
The territory of the vast locality of 67 km² belongs largely to the Landes de Lavaux, a natural region in the form of a narrow granitic ridge belonging to the Armorican massif, appreciated for its fauna, flora, wooded islets and megalithic sites.
Once shared between several fiefs, the city has developed thanks to its agriculture and its commercial vocation at the crossroads of several strongholds, including Vannes, Auray or Malestroit. The village remained in history for being the scene of a severe battle between the republican troops and the insurgent chouans led by Cadoudal at the end of the 18th century.
With a rich historical and natural heritage, Grand-Champ now has nearly 5,500 inhabitants, offering a variety of cultural and leisure activities that attract a wide audience.

The parish church of St. Tugdual can be the starting point. Built in 1866 on the foundations of earlier buildings in a neo-Gothic style, note its typical materials of the region (granite, stone rubble) and linger in the nave on statues of the nineteenth century and two panels in carved wood formerly stored in the chapel Notre-Dame in Burgo.
This is one of the many chapels that dot the territory. Listed, it dates from the sixteenth century (the frames still bear the dates of 1528 and 1538). The richness of the interior decoration evokes the Flamboyant Gothic. If the old central tower and the transept are ruined, the nave has been preserved, with its molded doors. Another listed chapel, the one dedicated to Sainte-Brigitte, on the site of Loperhet, completed in 1588. We notice the gargoyles and pinnacles of the foothills of the outer bedside and inside, niches in the granite, with the rich decoration, sheltering saints.
Note also the chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (1898) and the Chapel of Our Lady of Flowers at the Moustoir of Flowers (XV).
Typical of Brittany, the fountains of Loperhet devotion (seventeenth) and Burgo (sixteenth), with their pools and their beautiful architecture are also worth visiting. Several crosses and crucifixes too.
Finally, the castle of the Rest, rebuilt in the nineteenth century in a classical style with materials such as tufa stone, on the foundations of a seigniorial castle that served several times as a refuge to Cadoudal, chouan chief, the manor Kermainguy (XVth) and especially the manor of Kerleguen, former presbytery of the XVth century in the form of a lodging in square richly decorated (visit possible in summer, to contact the +33 2 97 61 40 18) will embellish this course.
Which can be concluded by the dolmen of Lost er Lenn (Neolithic burial) or the astonishing house of Locquiquel priest, classified, built in granite and covered with thatch, perfectly preserved, and which still bears the date of its construction: 1523.
