Things to see and do

Two ancient villages have a wealth of interest. Saint-Aignan, and the church was built in the thirteenth century and the original building has been preserved its Romanesque choir (which is the remains protected as historical monuments). The church was rebuilt in the sixteenth century, however, after suffering damage during the Wars of Religion and was mostly rebuilt in the late nineteenth in a neo-Gothic style. The Germans have installed an observation post at the top of the bell tower, bombings affectèrent the church in 1944. Again restored, besides its choir, it deserves a visit to the beautiful Madonna seventeenth century sheltered child on the porch.

A 700 m west, then we observe Cramesnil Castle, built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, partially listed due to its square tower. The property is private.

On Garcelles-Secqueville, Castle Garcelles date of 1721. The building of neoclassical bill lacks neither pace nor charm, but has been included in the Inventory in 1942 for its park and lined paths beech and oak trees to prevent logging under the war effort are made!

As for the church dedicated to St. Martin, which was enlarged in the sixteenth century by the addition of an arrow while the original building dated back to the twelfth, it was destroyed during the fighting in 1944. A new church was so high and completed in 1957. Finally, at the hamlet of Secqueville, still distinguish the base of the bell tower of the old parish church, dedicated to St. Gerbold.
